Does Anchorify support HTML artifacts like Display.Dev?
No. Anchorify renders markdown, code files, JSON, YAML, CSV, TSV, PDF, and images. It does not execute JavaScript or preserve HTML interactivity. For D3 charts, Plotly dashboards, or Playwright reports, Display.Dev is the right tool. Anchorify is the right tool when the source is markdown.
Is Display.Dev free?
Display.Dev has a free tier limited to 10 gated artifacts total and 2 publisher seats. For unlimited gated artifacts, Solo is $15/month. Pro with SSO is $49/month. Enterprise with custom domain starts at $499/month. Anchorify is free during beta with no artifact cap.
Do readers need an account to view an Anchorify share?
No. Public and secret Anchorify shares are readable by anyone with the URL: no sign-in, no OTP code, no account. Members-only shares require an invite, but that is for restricted access, not standard client delivery.
Can AI agents publish to Anchorify directly?
Yes. The anchorify-skill wraps the CLI for Claude Code and similar agent environments. An agent can call anchorify report.md and receive a URL with no human steps. The CLI and REST API support --slug, --type, and visibility flags for full programmatic control.
